Khao Chaison Hot Spring Phatthalung 26 Dec 2019

IMG_6953

After completing our boat tour, it was already nearly 4.30pm. Alvin drove us to the Khao Chaison Hot Spring.

IMG_6955

The entrance is free but we need to pay for the parking as the parking fee is 20 Baht.

IMG_6957

I was pretty disappointed as how the place is kept, I personally think that there should be a lot upkeep and cleaning need to do at the compound area.

IMG_6958

There are private rooms and function hall to rent here. There are providing Thai massage here too.

The water is really hot and I can barely put both of my feet inside the pool earlier. After a while then it is ok.

IMG_6963

IMG_6965

It is too much for Annabelle to bear the hotness of the water! The locals smile to us when they saw her reactions.

IMG_6970

We were a little bit tired thus we just only soaked our feet in the public pool for about 20 minutes.

IMG_6971

The mountain behind this hot springs is so beautiful and stunning. We do not have much time as we need to check-in to our next hotel at Phatthalung city. We left about 4.45pm.

Tham Nam Yen @ Khao Chaison Phatthalung 26 Dec 2019

IMG_6821

After our lunch at Tonnam Café, we continued our journey to the Tham Nam Yen. We arrived there about 3.15pm. By the time there were quite a number of tourists were waiting for their turn to boating inside the caves.

IMG_6822

We immediately went straight to the information centre to check and wanted to buy a ticket here to go boating to explore the cave. Only that we noticed that the opening time is from 9.00am to 4.30pm.

IMG_6823

There are several activities her, there are 2 types of guided tour: Tham Nam Yen Cave Boat tour costs 200 Baht per boat ad Lorkor Cave Tour costs 200 Baht.

IMG_6825

We do not know if we managed to catch the boat by that time looking at the crowds there. The lady told us to standby at 4.00pm after she calculated the queue in front of us.

IMG_6826

Alvin and I were relieved as we managed to reach here after our delicious meals at Tonnam Café. We walked around the nearby park before we came back for the boat again.

IMG_6827

Tham Nam Yen is a local park in Khao Chaison District of Phatthalung province. It is quite a famous tourists destination in Phatthalung Thailand.

IMG_6830

At the back of the rocky mountain is the Khao Chaison Hot Spring. It is just a walking distance from here.

IMG_6828

This park is big and within the pond, one can do paddle boating here. The park is suitable for picnic too. Locals bring their own mats and food here to have a picnic.

IMG_6829

The place has a lot of trees which shade you from the heat of the sun. It is a good place for relaxing and taking photos. There are public toilets, small stalls, and an restaurant or juice bar.

IMG_6831

After almost nearly 4.00pm, we went back to the boating area and wait for our turn. The ticket to go boating inside the Nam Yen Cave and Lorkor Cave for 200 baht per ride.

IMG_6834

Maximum of 4 people per boat and 30 minutes cave exploration with 2 tour guides. The entrance to go inside is narrow and the tour guide told us to lay down on the boat to enter the cave.

IMG_6843

We entered the cave with a big spotlight provided by the guide, and slowly as the front tour guide rowed the boat into the cave.

IMG_6897

The local tour guide cannot speak English well and fortunate for us, one of the guides able to speak Mandarin and he is trying to explain what is inside the cave.

IMG_6898

Inside the cave are the different rocks formations and stalactites some of them glitter and a lot of bats of coarse.

The tour guide was joking about these look like boobs?

IMG_6925

Looks like coral reefs under the sea

IMG_6927

More formations

IMG_6862

A lot of small bats in the caves

IMG_6889

Waterfall like formations

We are not sure what is the water level inside the cave and the cave smells a little bit bad. At some points of the caves are, we would need to lie down completely on the boat to be able to pass.

IMG_6942

It make us feel a little bit like the real explorers. It is such a good and brand new experiences for all of us!

KL District Youth Activity @ Xtion Paintball Park

IMG_9886

IMG_9887

Today KL District Youth is having their activity at Xtion Paintball Park which is located at Bukit Jalil. It seems like the park itself established back in 2003, and it was the leading paintball centre in Asia back then.

IMG_9897

IMG_9894

Due to the infrastructure development which involved an expressway in construction, the park had been run down and big part portion of the land has been used for construction site and storage area. It took us some time to find this place.

The activity starts at 11am, there were already others youth there when we arrived there. The session started with an opening prayer and a short devotional by President Van Cott from KL District Young Men and Sister Claire from KL District Young Women.

IMG_9931

IMG_9921

There was a safety and game briefing for all the youth and parents whom want to participate in the game by the Marshall.

IMG_9948

IMG_9949

All the youth were brief and introduced to the safety gears which are compulsory to wear at all time: googles to protect the eyes, body vest to protect the body, the proper way to use the paint gun or marker, and some regulations or hand signs during in the fields.

IMG_9953

IMG_9964

There are 2 hour time slot. The group of youth split into 4 teams, 2 teams per session and the winners for each game will qualify themselves to play in the 3rd game. It was fun looking at the youth hiding and running around just to shoot and get their team flag.

IMG_9970

IMG_9974

Issac was so excited to join but Annabelle was not interested at all for this type of outdoor game. Actually is not Issac alone but all the youth. It is so fun and excited seeing all the youth in the church and I can feel the vibrant of the youth and the spirit they have!

IMG_9976

IMG_9978

Light lunch was prepared for all the youth and parents as well. There were Domino’s Pizzas, garlic bread, and cold drinks as well. The activity ends around 1.30pm.

It give me a sense of urgency and how important it is to rear our children in the church and bring them up strong in their faith to face the world which will definitely becoming more tempting and evil for them in the future.

I feel blessed that I and my family got to know this Church and the church program help us as parents to teach and nurture our children and prepare them spiritually and physically!

All the youth just look like the Army of Helaman – The Stripping Warriors in the Book of Mormon! They are our future leaders and army of the Church indeed!
