Primary Sacrament Meeting 2017 Choose the Right Scripts Cards

This is a wonderful Primary Sacrament Meeting Program Scripts which is prepared by our Sister Jennifer, Primary President and mother of a child who loves singing, sewing, and making art & crafts.

I just type it out and print it to the paper, and made it personalize to each child the part that they need to memorize and talk in the sacrament meeting presentation later.

IMG_5035

We would pass it their parents and seek their assistance to help their children at home, so that the parents together with the children have some common activity they can do together.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Puchong Branch Primary Mother's Day Craft

Today the children at the Primary were doing the Mother’s Day craft to give it to their beloved mothers. It is a small D.I.Y. decorative box.

IMG_3717

This was Sister Jennifer’s idea for the children to use their own hands, create their own decorative gift box for their own mums.

IMG_3709

The box and the lid had been prepared by Sister Jennifer, so each child was given a box card stock.

IMG_3703

The children were asked to decorate the box with photos with their mum, with some stickers, photo prints, decorative stars or love stickers, ribbons, etc.

Here are some photos while the children in the process of making their own decorative gift boxes.

Here are what Issac and Annabelle give to me for the Mother’s Day gifts! Made me a happy mum of the day!

LDS Primary Sharing Time ~ Scripture Power Missionary Heroes 16 Oct 2016

“Feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do”

2 Nephi 32:3

IMG_8754This year 2016 Church outline for Sharing Time theme is ‘I Know the Scriptures Are True’.

This month theme is ‘Prayer is Reverent Communication between God and Me.’ Today we did it a bit different way.

Our Primary President Sister Jennifer have arranged our branch Missionary Elders to teach the lesson to the children during the Sharing Time. She feels that it is very important for the children to love and teach them search the scriptures.

IMG_8767Elder Forsyth was turned into a Scriptures Power Hero as Sister Jennifer prepared a yellow colour Superhero Cape and a big blue colour lettering “S” on a red colour round felt cloth which he pinned it on his chest position.

All the children were so excited when they saw the 2 Elders appeared in the room.

The scriptures are the word of God. Elder Forsyth was teaching the children to search the scriptures.

He wrote some scriptures verses on the board under some of the wordings related, such as Love, Repentance, Humility, Kindness, Forgiveness, Service, Sacred, Family, Anger, Bully, etc.

IMG_8766The children were asked to search all those verses and mark it on their scriptures with the post-it notes which Elder Mullins was distributing together with the stationery sets.

They were sitting down on the floor to search and mark the scriptures. It was quite a fun thing for the kids. Both Elder Forsyth and Elder Mullins were helping the children searching the scriptures too.

This activity is a continuation of the early year challenge from the Church – to give children opportunities to share what they have learned from their scriptures reading, and establish a habit of regular scripture study.

After the lesson, we took a group photo with the children together with our Scriptures Power Super Heroes today!

And, they are our Scripture Power Heroes this week! Elder Forsyth and Elder Mullins were holding the Book of Mormon!

Scripture Power

Well, this song is new to me and all the while I was thinking that this is a church new children song, but it is not!
The children love this song so much! They have s much enthusiasm when they learn and practice this song. I hope the children would understand that the power the scriptures have as they were singing in the song.

153 ~ The Lord Gave Me a Temple

I still remember the first time when I heard this song, by reading the song title I thought it is the physical temple building which it means in the song. Eventually, when I started to learn and do the flip charts for the kids to learn, then I only realized that it mean the physical body which our Heavenly Father gave us.

When I sang the songs with Issac and Annabelle at home, I asked them “Do you all know what is the temple that the Lord gave us in this song?” Annabelle just answered me with her slumber voice, “Mummy, is our body lah…” I was like, “You know!” Annabelle said, “Of coarse…Mama”

If I Listen with My Heart

“The purpose of music in Primary is to teach the children the gospel of Jesus Christ and help them learn to live it. Primary songs make learning more enjoyable, help children learn and remember gospel truths, and invite the Spirit into Primary.”

That is the first sentence that in our Sharing Time’s instruction in How to Use Music in the Primary.

Thanks again for the loving mother which I found her beautiful and spiritual artworks, that she is so kind in letting us can able to download her artworks that we can use to create our lessons for the children! Her website is here: http://susanfitchdesign.blogspot.my. And, you can also visit her shop at etsy at https://www.etsy.com/shop/SusanFitchDesign.

Personally, I love this year theme song: If I Listen with My Heart.

109 ~ Search, Ponder and Pray

I started to love the Children’s Song after doing all these flip charts…

I would have to listen to the music and songs first, try my best to understand the lyrics and I would search for the suitable clip arts to insert in the flip charts. This process have made me get familiar and listen to the songs more. And, this is how I learn the music!

I really grateful for the callings and opportunity that Heavenly Father give me, to learn the ‘things’ I am lack of in my calling as a teacher and second counsellor in the Primary, which is the music!
