A Nostalgia Saturday

Annabelle started to take her IGCSE exam this year. She will take her first 2 subjects, Chinese as a Second Language and O Level English.

IMG_1857Today she is going to take her Chinese Oral exam at Sri Emas International School at 1.30 pm, and she needs to be there at noon.

Issac initially wanted to attend the Institute and he left home early thinking of using LRT to go to church at PJ. He called us while we were on our way out from home for our breakfast at Hoong Foong Dim Sum at USJ 21.

Then I told Issac to use the LRT back to USJ21 station to meet us at Hoong Foong Dim Sum. The timing was just right and we had a scrumpalicious and fulfilling breakfast!

After which we dropped Annabelle at Sri Emas, Issac and I headed to Citta Mall to chill at the Starbucks while waiting for her oral session to end. I was writing my journal on what happened over the past 2 weeks. We got a great deal at Starbucks where we got 2 drinks at only RM25.00++!

IMG_1858Both of us almost forgot that Issac needs to go to Jane Yap Atelier to take his artwork photo, while I need to reload and top-up my Touch n Go card at Citta Mall! We managed to get it done before we fetched Annabelle.

We fetched Annabelle at about 2.00 pm and we headed to IOI Mall Puchong to get some books for both at the Popular Book Store. I was gazing at the bookshelf and something caught my eye. It is an interactive journal which I think is interesting. I just told Issac that I am kind of lost after got to know his dad’s thing. I need something to focus back as I have sort of lost my direction in life.

Issac shared with me that he experienced the same as when he got to know about Alvin. He is now trying to do what he can to the Lord’s will – to help others and be Christlike. I was sharing with him that, apart from that he must be taking care of himself first before he could help others. I know what is my final destination in life, but it seems as if I need to take a step back and reassess my priorities, to reconnect with what I truly want in my life. Of course, I have a job or just started my career after hibernating for so long to take care of the children. Then three of us managed to buy the books we wanted, and we were happy about that.

IMG_1864

We decided to have our dinner at the mall before we headed back home. This was our dinner at the Noodle King House. A restaurant specializing in noodles, especially in its Signature Fried Fish Head Noodles with its superior soup base.

IMG_1861

While we were heading home, Issac said that today it seemed nostalgic to him, as he remembered days when the three of us used to go out together during weekends. My heart was broken when I heard that. Yes, these were the feelings where we used to have every weekend during they were much younger – three of us had each other to rely on and depend on…

IMG_8182

Due to today is the last day of the year 2019, Alvin brought us to IOI Mall to have the dinner and we intended to watch a night movie. Unfortunately, there is no suitable movies that at the time we were there.

Main Place USJ21 CNY Outing

IMG_7979

Today is the 3rd day of Chinese New Year and Alvin had to leave to Johor Bahru due to his job site.

IMG_7976

The children and I are feeling like this year is the loneliest Chinese New Year that we ever have, because this year their daddy and my husband only accompanied us for just that short 3 to 4 days only.

IMG_7980

Despite the challenges that our family been going through right now, I decided that tonight will bring the children go to the Main Place USJ21 see the mall Chinese New Year decoration theme.

IMG_7982

The theme is quite attractive and not bad because it is quite a small mall but still manage to come out the theme and limited space the mall has.

IMG_7985

We had our dinner at the Texas Chicken as it is considered the cheapest meal that we can have there.

This is how we end our 3rd day of Chinese New Year with 3 of us.

Mum & Daughter Date

Well… today only Annabelle and me at home as both Alvin and Issac had joined the Kuala Lumpur District Young Men Camp. So, we have a mother and daughter date today.

We were going for our movie date then lunch. We were watching the hottest in town - “Crazy Rich Asians”. Crazy Rich Asians is the current big hit in movie theatres right now.

It is a rom-com movie about a guy, Nick Young, who brings home his Asian-American girlfriend to be introduced to his family in Singapore. Only then does the girlfriend, Rachel, realise that her boyfriend is a “crazy rich Asian” and has to keep up with all the glitz and glamour, contend with weird relatives and gossip among envious socialites while trying to win over the heart of his domineering mother.

The movie, adapted from Kevin Kwan’s book by the same title, is directed by Jon M. Chu, and has an all-Asian cast, including Malaysian darlings Henry Golding as Nick Young and Michelle Yeoh as his mother, Eleanor Young.

This is the first time Annabelle and I went out having our movie date without the boys in the house. I bought the twin seats tickets at MBO cinemas Subang Parade. I enjoyed the movie very much. Annabelle experienced her first ever rich love story. We were talking about the scenes from the movie.

After the movie, it was just nice that we can have our Dave’s famous original 1/4 roast chicken and beef rissole at the famous ever Dave’s Deli.

IMG_4060

We love the roast chicken very much. Marinated in their special secret recipe of herbs and spices then slow roasted to perfection. It served with mash potatoes, coleslaw, roasted vegetables and topped with their signature gravy. Yummy!

Dave’s signature grilled minced beef patty topped with black pepper mushroom sauce. Serve with mash potatoes, coleslaw and roasted vegetables as well. Nice! We compliment with a plate of loaded cheesy fries!

IMG_4059

Both of us were so full that we can hardly breath when we finished our meals portion! We felt so satisfied with our meals! We enjoyed each other today while the boys having their date at the camp site!

IMG_3886It’s Hari Raya Haji public holiday, we just have a short getaway to Malacca.

We have been to Malacca a few times and there was nothing much new that we tried this time.

We went to the seaside which near to the town. It is not actually a seaside but a reclamation coast which filled with big and small stones.

I taken a few photos of the children and their dad at work ‘photography’.

Kids and I @ Happ the Flower Café

We were at Tropicana Avenue after work as I was attending the coring session for the Shop.Com group.

We were having our dinner at a very special café which combine the flowers, cakes and coffee as their selling point – Happ the Flower Café. We were trying out their hot food instead of their famous cakes.

IMG_3525

Annabelle was having the Carbonara with Turkey Ham and Mushroom. It is creamy and a comfort food for her.

IMG_3524

Issac was having the local Nasi Lemak. The portion is big as it come with the rendang chicken.

IMG_3526

I was having the Crispy Chicken Burger with Chips. The portion is huge too, as I have to cut the burger into two portion.

We have a satisfying meals!

Farm in the City @ Seri Kembangan

I have heard lots of positive feedback from friends and colleagues on Farm in the City which is near to our home, and finally today we manage to bring our kids to visit this awesome place. I bought the entrance tickets with offer price during we were at Citta Mall for the art class the other day.

20171018_105643

It is a public holiday, thus we woke up a little bit late and we went for our breakfast. It was almost 11.00am when we reached there. There are already crowds inside. Parking is no more available and we have to park at the shops at the other side of the main road.

IMG_6351

Farm in the City is an unique concept that combines the elements of wildlife and nature set in a designed environment of a conservation park. When we enter the place, it gives us a complete feeling in the village surrounds with trees and bushes with bird chipping and rooster running around.

IMG_6357

All animals are allowed to roam free in special enclosures which mimic as closely as possible to their natural habitat. Here is more like a petting zoo and kids can get chance to feed, cuddle and touching the animals.

20171018_105421

The first that greeted and welcomed us was the lovely ostrich. The ostrich was so clever, as it is know that we want to take photograph with it.

20171018_110922

The best moment for all the children are feeding the tortoise. The tortoise is really huge in size. Each visitor is given some ‘kangkung’ to feed the toirtoise. They love to touch the toirtoise’s shell too.

Overall experience, this place is highly recommended for parents to bring their kids along for a weekend outing. We spent around 2 hours in Farm in the City. It was quite a fun outing under the extremely hot sun!
