Babies & The Scribble

P8070051 When children draw and scribble, something that never existed is created. What joy there is in being able to express thoughts and feelings in this way, not to mention the pure pleasure of using the materials!

Mummy bought a lot of colour pencils, crayons, and lately a art portfolio complete with many art materials such as colour pencils, crayons, pastels, water colour cakes, and markers.

P1011104Normally, Mummy would sit down and gave them some A4 size recycle papers which Daddy brought back from his office. The children would started pick up some pencils and colour pencils to draw.

Annabelle loves to draw circles, and scribble whatever she wants; issac would draw animals, or objects which comes to his mind that time or that day.

Very sad thing for Mummy is that, most of the drawings that both of you drew normally you all will throw it away after your drawing session. Mummy too will throw it away because there were too many, and our house do not have place to keep…So, some of it Mummy will take photographs to keep in as softcopy…

Probably mummy will have to save some drawings up each month and make a book for both of you each year…

Babies & Arts

Baby is just like a piece of white art paper, what “art” can they made? Well, after surfing online and information gathered, both Mummy and you babies can create together. First of all, Mummy would like to start with something simple and educational. Then when as both of you grows, is able to hold a marker or paintbrush, the art learning experiences change.

P8160104Something do not change are as a responsible parents we must:

  • supply the appropriate supplies;
  • model the use of various tools;
  • closely supervise;
  • facilitate baby’s exploration;
  • and never the less – clean up.

P8160103When mummy wants to start up something like this, it had actually triggered all those childhood memories. Piece and pieces was flooded in my mind – mummy’s earliest art experiences:

  • What materials did mummy use?
  • How mummy feels?
  • What was the favourite art experience that mummy encounter?

All these counts, because someday when both of you been grow up, you will experience the same as what Mummy did now.The process is more important than the final product! So, Mummy will try and definitely enjoys each every approach of new art experience with both of you…

Subang Ria Recreation Park 8 Aug 2010

P8080071Today is a Sunday, after our breakfast in the morning, we went to the nearby recreational park at Subang Jaya.

Subang Ria Park is known as the oldest recreational park in Subang Jaya.

It is located nearby Sime Darby Medical Centre and is spread out across 72.6 acres of lush greenery with a massive lake and breathtaking views of Subang Jaya.

P8080079Some activities that can be enjoyed in this park include jogging, cycling, as well as unwinding and picnicking by the lake.

There is also an open-air theatre which hosts cultural shows, small-scaled events and even talks on the local community and environmental issues.

Subang Ria Park also houses the country’s largest paintball park, namely TT Sports Park. Those who want to experience some excitement in this recreational park can opt to head there for a round of adrenaline-inducing fun.

P8080082We just stayed around the smaller lake and both children were playing the sand drawings using the tree sticks or twigs which ever we found on the ground.

Daddy was taking some photographs of the views from the lake.

It is an enjoyable morning at the park!

Kids Bento ~ Mini Sandwiches

After I woke up in the morning, I went to the kitchen and prepare all these mini sandwiches for both Issac and Annabelle.

Just use the cookie cutters I bought the other day to do it. Smile

A Saturday at Home

P8070035        P8070040

This is a typical Saturday if Daddy is not in the house. I would look at them while they are sleeping in the night. Sometimes, I would found out or discover that both of them having the same sleeping styles. Or sometimes both brother and sister have the same features at certain angles.

P8070045        P8070047

At the morning, after having the breakfast then I will let them do some colouring or drawings or even watching cartons or children program on the Astro. Both would take an afternoon nap together. And, that is the time I have to write on blog and organise some photos. And do some household chores which I only have the chance to do on Saturday.

P8070049        P8070052

Normally dinner time, I would take away from the nearby Malay restaurant or Chinese restaurant. Then, 3 of us would share for 1 big portion. After which, the children would play toys at the same time watching TV, or they would scribble and sketch on the drawing papers.

When it comes to bedtime, we would play a while on the bed. Both of them would have so many funny and cheeky faces to show me and we laugh our heart out.

P8080057        P8080056

I do not know both Issac and Annabelle would remember the days and nights in this small little house that we have, I hope they would remember still the moments we spent together.
