Issac Packed Daycare Bag

PB290035        PB290038

Tonight Issac packed his own daycare bag by himself. This made Annabelle too, seeing what her big brother doing, she too, also start to fold her own blanket. Haha…

Sometimes, it is really true that the elder child in the house will lead the younger siblings, so you have to teach your eldest child good, so that the younger siblings will follow the example of their elder brother or sister.

A Flower for Mummy ^^

PB290028 Today actually is not really a good working day for Mummy. Lately, it was feels like everything seems like everything is not going my way. After three of us (Issac, Annabelle and Mummy) had our quick dinner, taken our bath, we just sitting around.

Mummy was busy writing the blog, Annabelle was laying on the floor with her favourite blanket, then Issac brought over a sunflower to me, and said,” Mummy, I give you this flower. I love you.” Then, he kissed my face.

I was so touched…speechless…”Mummy love you too…”

New Creative Toys for Kids

Today our family went to a Shopping Mall and found out some toys that might be interesting to the kids. And, fun to play with too! I do not know how to describe it but it is a rubber kind of materials that make it flexible to play with.

Both Issac and Annabelle are happy to play with it.

Our Little Science Project ~ Growing Mung Bean Seeds ^^

PB140079Last Sunday Mummy has started a little science project with both Issac and Annabelle.

Mummy intended to grow mung bean seeds for a week project.

Mung beans is locally known as Green Beans.

It was a new experience for the kids and Mummy was giving the instructions to them through my experiences and memories.

As I can remember, our teacher did ask us to do a project like this at home during schooling time.

PB140082It was part of the science project, teaching kids to grow little mung bean seedlings to encourage growing plants at home.

Furthermore, this growing seedling project has taught the children about plants required water, cotton and a little sunshine to grow well.

Here us what we did together for our little science project:

  • A transparent food container (round shape cup)
  • Some cotton (we used facial cotton swabs)
  • Raw green beans (mung beans)
  • Some Water

PB140084They spread cotton evenly into the food plastic container. Thicker cotton would be better to allow the roots grow faster.

They place some mung beans separately and leave some space among the seeds. Mummy reminded them to give a little space between the mung beans to grow.

After that, sprinkle some water onto the cotton and make sure the cotton is wet but do not flood the whole container.

PB140088Leave the container with the green beans in the kitchen or dining table.

Eventually, we leave both containers at the kitchen window by the sink area.

It is easier as whenever both kids wash their hands, they are able to see their mung bean seeds.

Mummy have to remind both Issac and Annabelle to remember to water the green beans ever day and give some sunshine by placing the container near the window still.

1st Day – 14 Nov 2010

Still nothing come out yet. Just follow the instructions and set for the day.

Annabelle’s was more beans than Issac’s as she was grabbing a handful of green beans and threw it inside the cup.

Issac was more obedient and just put a few green beans.

PB1501212nd Day – 15 Nov 2010

We were able to see the little seedlings growing from the green beans.

The sprouts were all pushing out from the green shells and wanted to come out and see the sunlight!

We got a little but surprise as Annabelle’s growing faster than Issac’s. May be it was due to the competition of more green beans in Annabelle’s cup.

PB1601413rd Day – 16th Nov 2010

We were able to see little seedlings growing from the green beans, pushing out the green shells more and more.

The roots started to grow down to the cotton to obtain the water and the leaves were trying to grow upwards for the sunlight!

PB170031

4th Day – 17th Nov 2010

Suddenly the little seedlings started to sprout and the stems, branches and leaves came out so fast!

Both Issac and Annabelle were so fascinated seeing that happened!

Mummy told both kids to water the mung bean seedlings daily and to make sure the plants have some little sunshine by placing them near the window stills.

PB180044

5th Day – 18th November 2010

All were grown up so fast!

Both were obedient, diligently make sure his responsibilities were done before heading for school.

Issac even scolded his sister for touching his seedlings, fear that the plant may die the next day.

PB1900096th Day – 19th November 2010

Both were happy for their little plants.

And it was not yet reached 7 days, the green beans had been transformed into a little green plant.

The stems growing stronger from fragile stems to firmer stems. Eventually, after few days, the little plants grows taller and it started to die off of its own.

Well, it was a good experience for both kids and they did a great job on this assignment! Red heart

This boy of mine really amazed me every time. He can create anything out of nothing! Just from a piles of the bricks, he can build so many creative things out!

I am so blessed to have him as my son, and it is an honour for me to be his Mummy. I know he is a gifted child from God to us, as I have the privilege to accompany him and see him grow up to be a good man.
