Alphabet Book : C

PA210031 We talked about letter ‘C’ this week, and as for Alphabet Book today, is a caterpillar. And, most of the online educators are using caterpillar as the subject of learning by all kind and method of art or learning experiences with the kids, such as soft toys, cloths, science explorations, etc. We just did a simple one, involving shapes and colours.

Materials Needed:

  • Green and yellow construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Colour Pencils

PA210015 To Make:

  1. Draw out a leave shape and have your child colour it out.
  2. Draw out a 'stem' for your child and let them colour it.
  3. I cut out all the circles from the green and yellow construction paper. Glue the green and yellow circle pieces for caterpillars ~ try to make patterns with the colours!
  4. Add little eyes and antennae with a marker if you'd like.

Mummy cut out all the pieces ahead of time since we have a short amount of time and a lot to do ~ otherwise I would recommend letting the kids cut out their own pieces as much as possible!}

Well, both Issac and Annabelle had drawn the eyes and ‘the mouth’ so big made their caterpillars look like smiling…Oh God…

Her Smile… 10 Feb 2011

P2100186Her smile makes me smile.

Her laugh is infectious.

Her heart is pure and true.

Above all I love that she is my daughter.

Picture 003Second day of Chinese New Year normally Sister Agatha and Brother-in-law Pin would be coming back home as it is the traditions that married daughters visited their birth parents, relatives and close friends.

On this day, Sister Agatha and Brother Pin appointed the lion dance to the house to make the day more merrier.

Both Issac and Annabelle love to see the Lion Dance but Annabelle would be a little bit scared due to the loud noise made by the drums.

Picture 012After we watched the lion dance, Sister Agatha and Brother Pin stayed at home to wait for their friends and colleagues come to the house.

While we adjourned to Brother Ambrose’s house together with Brother Andrew’s family and Papa and Mama to pay his family for a visit, as he had organized an open house too.

Picture 014The food served were delicious. There were various type of cookies and cakes, especially Sarawak kuih lapis.

There were sateys, mix vegetables, spaghetti, curry chicken, and kacang mah too.

Our family were the among first few to arrive his house. After which, there were more and more friends and relatives came, then we went back home.

Chinese New Year Family Portrait 3 Feb 2011

The first day of Chinese New Year we do not go out but stay at home. It has been our traditions that on the first day we would stay at home and waiting for friends or relatives to visit our house.

Picture 003

Only Brother Andrew’s family and us together with Papa and Mama stay at Sister Agatha’s house. During morning time while waiting for the relatives come visit, Daddy took out his tripod and camera. All of us stand in  our position and together we took our Family Photo again but this time at home.

Picture 006

After which, we were thinking of wanted to take our own family photo, but end up the photo like this because both Issac and Annabelle cannot sit down quietly, and with our two little nephews behind us. Surprised smile
