We are learning “I Am Thankful for the Water” today. We learn that water was an important part of the Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ Creation.
We need water for many things. We learned about the stories in the Scriptures which are related to the water, such as Moses and the Israelites in the wilderness.
Water is important in the Church such as John the Baptist basptizing Jesus in the Jordan River.
We use water during being baptized and passing the sacrament.
After the lesson, the children got to do this fun little umbrella craft with raindrops! They had a blast adding the raindrops to their umbrella!
You'll Need:
- Colour pens
- Colour construction papers
- Scissors
- Glues
- Small straw
To Make:
First, choose the colours for your umbrella. Cut out the pieces. I just drew the parts of the umbrella freehand. Then, because I got these dark purple and light purple construction papers, so I used it.
Once you have assembled the umbrella pieces, use the glue stick to adhere them to the construction paper.
For the arm of the umbrella, I used the drinking straw of the packet drinks. So, it is just nice to fit our small paper.
After glued the umbrella on the paper, then let the children start adding dots of raindrops all over the paper by using the colour pens or crayons.
I enjoyed the project because it was fun for them and easy for me! Here are the children’s works!
