I feel happy as well because I do not know I can create such a nice and attractive craft, and the Sunbeam children were enjoying making and doing it together with their lovely parents too! Feel blessed indeed!

The most important thing is to let the kids know that Heavenly Father and Jesus love them!  Open-mouthed smile

Annabelle’s Essay

This evening when I went to Mahkota wanted to fetch both Issac and Annabelle, Teacher Yang so happily told me that Annabelle’s Chinese essay have been improve. She asked me to go and read her essay which just put on the notice board.

IMG_6052

It is really quite a surprise for me to see this! I never thought that Annabelle can have the ideas of writing the essay so good. She is all the while so reluctant to speak in Mandarin and most of the time speaking and converse in English with us and her friends.

May be it is due to she have no choice and have to learn to speak in Mandarin when she is studying in SRJKC Chee Wen now.

Well, anyhow this is a good start for her and I am happy to see this ^^

Little Tree Craft ^^

IMG_9643

We learned about “I Am Thankful for the Trees Plants and Flowers” today, that trees, plants, and flowers make the earth a beautiful place to live in.

IMG_9644

Trees are important to us because trees provides shade or home, trees provides food or fruits, trees provide shade or a place to play, trees provides fire woods, and there are so many things that are made of wood.

IMG_9646

Flowers make our world beautiful, and Plants provide us food.

IMG_9647

After the little games we have with the children on counting the fruits and vegetables, then we have our craft for this week!

IMG_9648

You'll Need:

  • Brown colour pens or crayons
  • Green colour construction papers
  • Glues
  • Decorative flowers stickers

IMG_9649

To Make:

  1. First, draw a tree trunk and colour the tree trunk in brown colour.

  2. Cut the green colour construction paper or green colour tissue paper into small pieces. Or alternatively can use the puncher to punch the green colour paper into tiny small round shapes. I used both methods and I prepare for all the children.

  3. Add the glue onto one section on top of the coloured brown tree trunk and then scrunch and add the pre-prepared green colour paper onto it. Continue adding glue and tissue paper to different sections as you like to shape the tree as you want to.

  4. After glued the greens on the paper, then let the children start adding flowers stickers on the places they want to, they can colour the background as they like.

They were having fun doing it, as they just use their hands to pat the green leaves onto the paper!
