Developing Talents #1 ~ Learn how to budget and save money.Discuss why it is important to faithfully pay our tithing and how Heavenly father blesses us when we do (see 3 Nephi 24:10-11). Pay your tithing and begin saving for a mission.
This is our first part of the lessons of this activity. I have been eagerly searched and surfed the internet in my preparation for all these lessons.
There are so much examples of the lessons whereby prepared by all the Activity Days Leader Mormon Moms throughout the world, I am so excited about this!
The first lesson I was adapting from the website: http://www.themormonhome.com/teaching-tithing-wallet-printable/ about the teaching tithing wallet printable.
I think it is a great idea that Sister Rachel Evans Davis using the wallets as a teaching method to introduce the concept of Tithing and Money.
In addition on that, I did design some worksheets to include: asking the children to search for the scriptures.
Some lessons on where and how our Tithing Money goes.
And some pictures to help children to understand our tithing monies goes to fund the missionary work, temples, meeting house buildings, family history works, printing and translating scriptures, and humanitarian service to others.
Finally, the Tithing Slip is important too. How the tithing slip looks like, and how to fill up the tithing slip.
Both Annabelle and Issac were not so excited as I am, but thankfully that they just follow my flows.
I have planned and decided to split this lessons to 3 or 4 parts, throughout the month of September, every weekend we will have our lessons from this Tithing and Budgeting.
As Issac almost approach 11 years old now, I was thinking like: How am I going to teach and help him to work on the activities suggested in the Faith in God program?
I as a parent, need to prepared him and help him to understand the importance of the live gospel principles and to receive the Aaronic Priesthood when he is approaching his 12 years old.
Hopefully the weekly activity days program we plan each week, both me and the children able to learn from it.
