Sharing : Facebook Symptoms

Facebook really change a lot of people living styles. Ever since the Facebook appeared, one can find back their old schoolmates, old buddies, old neighbours from this ever fast growing social cyber community. That are the advantages. The disadvantages is that the games can really made one addicted to it, and made you have to be online everyday or even every minutes and all the time. Now, it is more easier that one can online through one own hand phone. The technology really change our life and living substantially

I think I am consider myself an “Addicted One” too. But sometimes, my good brother Esiang did reminds me that, do not attached to the Facebook so much. Actually from all the friends’ Facebook pages, I like his the most. Sometimes, he will post something or ideas that can give you a ‘spark’ when you think whatever he posted on his Facebook. The followings are some of it:

IMG_1829This year Tadika Brainchild organized an educational trip to the Beryl’s Chocolate Museum & Sunflower Rice Factory.

Like previous year, Daddy is accompanying Issac to the trip.

They assembled at the school at 8.00am waited for the school bus to come, and other children.

It was about 8.15am they departed to their first destination Beryl’s Chocolate Museum. They arrived there around 9.00am.

IMG_1898Beryl’s Chocolate Museum gives an opportunity to the public to visit the factory.

It is a free guided viewing tour to learn the history of Beryl’s® and how they make premium quality chocolate from cocoa beans sourced from plantations around the world.

The factory tour took approximately 20 minutes. The Beryl’s Chocolate Museum do not offer tours throughout Production area.

IMG_1912However, they able to provide a revised tour that includes a video presentation in a presentation room, and followed by a Gallery visitation.

This is to educate the students about the ingredients and the origin of Cocoa by visiting Beryl’s Gallery.

Gallery features illustrations some of the ‘vintage’ machines. You can see special display chocolate packaging from all over the country, and many other priceless antiques.

IMG_1923All the teachers, parents and students are encourage to shop at Beryl’s Chocolate retail outlet prior depart for home.

Outside the museum, there are a few interesting features for visitors to take photos, such as  a big cocoa bean, a milk cow, a ice cream cone and a bitten chocolate slab!

After almost an hour 10am, the teachers and children left for McDonald’s to have their Happy Meal for their brunch.

IMG_1953I can see from the photos, all the children were happy to have their brunch at McD.

Around 11.30am, they left for the 2nd destination which is Sunflower Rice Factory located at Semenyih.

By that time, all were tired and sleepy especially after having the Happy Meals.

IMG_1976The children together with the teachers and parents were brought to the gallery and were briefed how the rice is harvest, process, polish until packing.

A mini rice husking machine to demo made the children understand easily. Each and everyone got to taste the cooked rice.

At the end of the guided tour, come to a mini shop whereby then parents and teachers can buy varieties of rice, from Taiwan, India and locals.

The price here can be a little bit cheaper compare to supermarkets or retails outside.

It was almost 1.00pm after the rice factory visit. And, it is time to go back to school.

IMG_1990It has been a tiring half day for Daddy and Issac. Both of them brought back some souvenirs such as chocolates and small pack of rice.

National Monuement 13 Dec 2009

As we travel along Jalan Parliament and towards the Lake Gardens, close to Parliament House stands the National Monument or Tugu Negara. We had been here before, but we did not take our camera and take photos here. This time, we did. And, a lot of tourists visited here. We met with tourists from India, Korea, and Europe.

"Built in honour of those who had fought and fell in World War II and the seven soldiers atop the national monument symbolise the loyalty, sacrifice and co-operation of the people of Malaysia."

This is one of the world's largest freestanding bronze sculptures. It is a great bronze sculpture erected to commemorate the soldiers who gave up their lives in the triumph during World War II and the Emergency (1948-60).

It was designed by the famous sculptor, Felix de Weldon, who also designed the Iwo Jima Memorial in Washington. The 15.54 metre high bronze monument depicts seven soldiers symbolising the seven qualities of leadership.

The seven men from the Malaysian Armed Forces holding the national flag, each symbolising one of seven qualities: leadership, unity, strength, vigilance, suffering, courage and sacrifice. This monument sits on a tranquil spot, surrounded by a pool of water fountains and water lilies made of pewter.

Daddy was busy carried the tripod and taking our photographs. in front of the water fountains and the pavilion as well. We were there around 10:00am, and spending about one and a half hour there. Then, we go back home.

Taman Pertanian Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam 29 Nov 2009

This is our second trip of the year to here. Last time during our visit, we only manage to go the east side of the park, that is a few places like Taman Padi, Taman 4 Musim, Taman Burung only. And, this time we choose taking the bas Taman due to the last time walking experience. But, in the end we have to walk on our way back from the Empangan Air Kuning, as all the bas Taman is filled with the tourists. This time, we walked longer than the previous one.

But, we found out that actually the Agriculture Park not really maintain well, because during our bus journey to the deepest part of the park, Empangan Air Kuning, we did pass by Taman Orchid, Perkampungan Budaya, Taman Cendawan, Taman Hydroponic, Taman Rempah Ratus & Minuman. All those areas seems not well maintained.

On our way out, we stopped at Taman Haiwan to see Kancils, rabbits, turtles, ponies, porcupines, etc. Actually, it is not much animals that we found here. We ended our trip after that. This second trip do not really surprise us much and a bit of disappointment. The biggest surprise that we found was at the Empangan there, whereby close to the nature, water, trees, and a lot of fish too. Any how, it is really a good outing too…
