Missionary Whom Teach Our Family

We had a lesson with the Missionary Elders and Sisters this evening. Due to it’s the evening lesson, thus Alvin decided to meet them at Subang Parade, which is nearer to their hostel.

We had dinner together with Elders and Sisters Missionary at Uncle Lim’s before we had our lesson. These are the missionary whom teach our family until our baptism just 2 days ago.

Elder Paewai and Elder Stratfold from Australia, together with Sister Asanuma from Japan and Sister Callor from United States of America. Both Issac and Annabelle love them so much.

The other 2 Elders are Elder Beckstrand and Elder Hays. They are the Elders whom interviewed our families prior our baptism. All of them are awesome missionary!

A Hand Puppet Show by Annabelle 10 Oct 2014

During Annabelle birthday, Elder Stratfold and Elder Paewai did buy a koala bear hand puppet for her as her birthday present!

It is really so kind of them. I guess that was to remember both of them, as both of them are from the land of the koala – Australia!

She suddenly have this ideas of want to do a hand puppet show for us. The left was the Koala and the right was the Tiger!

Annabelle Early Birthday Celebration 30 Sep 2014

This year Annabelle’s birthday would be so much special to her, because we celebrate together as a family and with her friends at Aunty Joyce’s house.

Alvin wanted to celebrate this day earlier than her actual day because he would want to take her for outing tomorrow – which is her actual birthday.

Aunty Joyce as previous years, prepared some nuggets, French fries, sausages, Annabelle’s favourite Bolognese spaghetti, fresh fruits and the red colour hard boiled eggs for the children’s party.

I left the office earlier so that I can picked up the cake and after that go over to Aunty Joyce’s house. Alvin and I were meeting at the Berry’s Cake House to pick up pre-booked Barbie birthday cake. It was 2 Kg!

The children would have their dinner or feast celebration first due to the timing issue, we had the birthday cake cutting and the candles blowing celebration after the children had their dinner.

It was so funny and happy for the kids to pose any patterns or show funny faces during the photos taking sessions. But Alvin and I know that they are happy and enjoyed the day, especially Issac and Annabelle.

This birthday means so much to them!

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Subang Jaya Branch EQ Bukit Gasing Forest Park Hiking 1 Sep 2014

It is a hiking activity organized by the EQ Subang Jaya on this Hari Merdeka. Daddy brought Issac together with him in this activity.

Both of them went out early in the morning, and they have breakfast together near the church at Petaling Jaya.

While waiting for the rest of the EQ members to come, they took some photos together.

After the members arrived, then they started the hike. Before they start, took a group photo first. Actually there was not many turned up, but still a good small group.

They are President Chi, Brother Koay, Brother Isaac, Brother Jacky Chin, Elder Stratfold, Elder Paewai and Daddy and Issac. Daddy told that, Brother Felix came a little bit later.

Bukit Gasing Forest Reserve is a 100 hectare stretch of green belt dividing the city of Petaling Jaya (Selangor state) from the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.

It was once a rubber estate but, in the intervening 60 years, the miraculous restorative powers of nature have been allowed to work their magic and the park is now a haven of lush secondary forest including some pretty large trees.

Being surrounded by heavily populated areas, Bukit Gasing is a popular place for nearby residents to stretch legs, get the lungs and heart working and sweat off any extra weight.

Being a holiday morning there were quite a lot of hikers about and walking. Hikers are such caring and good people. There are plenty of benches where you can take a rest.

It is quite a tough one, according to Daddy some of the spots or paths which you need to step on the trees roots. Overall, still an enjoyable one when you hike together with the church members.

They did reach the suspended bridge area and managed to take a photo there, as that is the land mark of Bukit Gasing.

After they came down from the hill, all of them took a light meal and drinks at the ever famous Indian banana leaves restaurant which is located at the foot hill of Bukit Gasing. That concluded the activity!

The Tree of Life . Our World 23 – 30 Aug 2014 Art Exhibition

This is all that I am eagerly waiting for - "The Tree of Life . Our World 2014” Jane Yap Atelier Students Art Exhibition. It will be from 23rd August to 30th August 2014.

Ever since enrolled both Issac and Annabelle into the art class 2 years ago, with Aunty Jasmine recommendation to me on Jane Yap Atelier. I am very happy that let both children come to learn and attend Teacher Jane art class.

I think is 2 years ago too, I got to know from Mummy Ang Lee Siang Facebook, that she brought her children came to see the art exhibition too.

From the photos that Lee Siang took and put up on the Facebook, the drawings which I saw from what were the student there learn, really amazed me at that point of time.

And, made me wonder which art studio is that that teach the children so well… Finally, this year is both Issac and Annabelle turn.

We woke up early because the art exhibition is going to start at 10am, Teacher Jane asked the parents to bring the children as early as 9am.

There is an opening ceremony and the representative from Sin Chew Jit Poh is coming. The students are required to dress in white theme. Boys would be in white shirts. Girls would be in white blouse or in white dress.

Every student whom participate is going to present a canvas drawing with the title of “Tree of Life”, and 2 canvas bags which 1 canvas bag is in monochrome colour and the other 1 canvas bag is with animal theme.

As this is a joint function between Jane Yap Atelier and Sin Chew Charity Foundation, all the canvas bags are for sale and the proceeds will to sin chew foundation.

It was early as we reached at Citta Mall. We went to Dr. Cafe Coffee for a drink before we went up to The Space Exhibition Hall.

On our way to 1st floor, we met with Teacher Jane. She wore in black colour theme. She told me that Issac is appeared in the Sin Chew Daily newspaper today. It was the interviews and all about the art exhibition today. I was so happy! That later I will go and get a copy of the newspaper today.

The students and all the teachers having a group photos after the opening ceremony. There were so many parents and children there.

We took some pictures with each Annabelle and Issac art piece. I really do have a bit of surprise that both of their art pieces! Never think that both of them would have ok too!

We met with Ele Mun too. His art works really good and impressive as well. He drew only 1 bag with an eagle on it. Looks great too! His “Tree of Life” canvas art also very interesting!

After I bought the Sin Chew Daily and read about the art exhibition, I did Wats App to Papa to tell him the joyfulness and happiness I have on this!

After that, Papa did Wats App me his sketch on Issac. It do look alike ^^

Well… Really proud and happy I am. This is their first ever art exhibition, display their very own art piece and art works!
