Developing Talents #8 ~ Plan a physical fitness program for yourself that may include learning to play a sport or game. Participate in the program for one month.
Our Puchong Primary Presidency have decided a few activities through out this year of 2018, and all the activities will go along with the Faith in God Program, according to the District Primary Presidency’s direction.
We have a "Let’s Get Physical" activity day, which we organised at Bukit Jalil Recreational Park. Sister Jennifer designed a cute small invitation card, as a hand-out to the children to bring back home for their parents knowledge, and investigators too.
Sister Jennifer is a dedicated Primary President. She created a WhatsApp group chat for the parents of the Primary children. We can keep the parents updated on all the information and activities for the children.
We were there around 10.15am. All of us gathered at Bukit Jalil Recreational Park Car Park, and we headed to the designated picnic or rest area, which we can put all of our food and drinks on the table.
We started the activity with the opening prayer and message from Sister Jennifer around 10.45am. We had a little celebration for Denzel’s birthday and he is going to be young man.
After the mini celebration, we started with the breakfast first before we start the program. We had hard boiled eggs, cakes, muffins, fried rice noodles, fruits and drinks. Then, we gathered all the Primary children and we have a warm up Banana Dance.
It is really difficult to gather all the children at the same time, and doing the activity! We were quite exhausted!
We were more focus for Valiant children, whereby they can able to complete one of the activities which required – that is the physical fitness.
At last, I took out the jump rope which I bought yesterday, just in case we can get the children play the rope jumping. I was surprised that it turned out to be 360 degrees!
All the children were so excited about it, everyone wanted to try to jump, even the younger children. Even the parents too, joined the fun!
We had some food again after the sweaty rope jumping session. We ended the activity around 12.00 noon. Everyone of us cleaned and leaved the recreational park around 12.15pm.
It was a simple and short outing for the children, and the parents too! Even though the turn out a bit little, but still it is an encouragement to us – the Primary workers!
Other than that, I really felt proud with Issac, as He is the only Priesthood that attended this activity, indirectly he is watching over us… even though he is just an Aaronic Priesthood holder.
