Khao Kha Moo
After yesterday a tiring day, this morning all of us woke up after had a good night sleep. After we had taken our bath, we just walked towards the main road. Alvin brought us to a small shop which is facing the main road.
It is a selling pork knuckles shop or restaurant. This shop is a small shop with only one serving booth and limited tables and chairs inside the shop. There are some condiments on the table which is quite normal to be found in Thai restaurant.
We just ordered the normal pork leg rice that comes with braised eggs as well. besides that, the shop also served braised intestines and more. Looks delicious from the menu but we do not order it.
The ladies in the shop brought out some pork knuckles from the kitchen inside. Just look at those fatty knuckles and it looks so soft and nice!
Other ladies were busy preparing the rice to serve us. There was only our table and another table of couple were eating here during we were here. But we noticed that there were a lot of people came here to take away.
The people in and out waiting for their takeaway. Both Alvin and I were thinking that this might due to the working blue collars workers came here to takeaway for their own lunches at their work. But later that only I know that this ‘Mushroom Pork Leg’ shop is a very famous shop at Hat Yai.
We had our pork rice at this shop and it is our breakfast. Look at the soft meats and it looks delicious and yummy! A typical pork rice in Thailand comes with braised egg, green vegetables and salted vegetables as well.
We have some photos before we have our breakfast as usual! Hahaha…
After our breakfast, we stayed at the shop for awhile to plan for our destinations for the whole day. And discussed about transportation and walking routes.
Then we go for our first destination – Hat Yai Municipal Park. While waiting for the grab car, I noticed that there is a mini Big C shop across the road. There is the place where we grab our drinking water for the whole trip.
