Tadika Brainchild Concert & Graduation 7 Nov 2010

Picture 032This year Tadika Brainchild school concert cum graduation same as last year, was held at the hall of SJK (C) Chee Wen, USJ1, actually is just nearby our house.

This year too, is the first year that both Issac and Annabelle participate together in the school concert.

We were there early, we having our breakfast at the nearby eattery shop before we headed to the SJK (C) Chee Wen. Both kids too, having their beloved milk, bathe them and get them change to their own performance costumes.

Picture 060Teachers were early too, to receive the children and helping the children for the make-up. Annabelle and her friends in 3 years old have a fashion show.

The costumes had been distributed earlier on, and would be returned to the students after the concert event.

Annabelle wore a Dutch lady costume, other children were wearing various countries national costumes.

Picture 064Daddy and Mummy are glad that Annabelle got a most helpful award in her 3 years old category.

Actually this is quite a surprise to us, as at home she is always the most pampered kid! During the price presentation time, she was crying on stage. This little girl…Confused smile

Issac and his friends were presenting an Indian dance. All the children were so cute in their green and shining costume, with the Indian drums which they were holding.

Picture 071This year around, he is doing better than last year, and he was not crying but enjoying the dance performance together with his friends on stage.

We did not wait for the whole ceremony but after both children had done their dance and fashion show, teachers brought them over to the back stage and we fetched them from there. The children were given a goodie bag and KFC kids meals too.

Overall, is a good job well done by both our precious Issac and Annabelle!

Morib Day Out 5 Nov 2010

PB050062Morib Beach is one of the closest beaches to Kuala Lumpur and for that reason can get busy with day-trippers during weekends and public holidays.

Our small little family had decided to pay it a visit. To be honest it is not a very attractive beach.

The sea is generally a grubby brown or grey colour and not particularly inviting although a few brave people venture in.

PB050063We were pretty amazed of the new facilities which have been added at the beach and to beautify the surroundings with some hard landscaping. It looks new!

There is a food court (ikan bakar and sotong specialities), clean pay-to-use toilets and showers, a kiddies playground, prayer-rooms, information centre, a seashell display, a beach football pitch and a kite flying field. Kites can be purchased and roller blades are available from the nearby stalls.

PB050038Both Issac and Annabelle were so happy playing with their bubble gun and blow the bubble which Daddy bought for them.

We did not play the kite, but we saw some children were playing the kites and the kites were flying so high! The sea breeze was so relaxing!

New picnic gazebos and a lookout tower have been added, the pathways have been relaid and the sea wall has been repaired.

Picture 007We just picked one of the gazebos and let the children played the bubbles.

The kids really do like and enjoying playing the bubble gun. The weather was really hot!

We walked towards the sea and saw the grubby brown sea.

When the tide is high there is no beach to speak of and the waves lap up against the promenade wall. When the tide is low, the sand is a bit slimy and still, the crabs seem to like it.

Picture 019Seagull sculptures give a nice, relaxed seaside feel to the place. A pavement compass helps visitors get their bearings.

There are usually a few monkeys hanging around in the casuarina trees, hoping to share some of your food.

Overall it was a free and easy day out for us at Morib. We just love it!

by Lee Siang Ang on Friday, 29 October 2010 at 04:16

Our house do not have so much picture books. Strictly, less than 10 books. Mummy Ang Lee Siang have a programme for her own children: a book a day for the children. The children will choose whatever their favourite according to their liking, then will read together with her. Buying picture books actually will cost a lot. Mummy intents to do it gradually, so that would not feels so costly.
