Janda Baik Trip 16-17 Jul 2011

IMG_3028I am at Janda Baik for Prudential agency training. Daddy was thinking of bring both Issac and Annabelle together to Janda Baik for a day trip, while waiting for me in the training. Thus, he also asked Ah Heng (one of his sub-contractors) to accompany him driving here.

Daddy brought both Issac and Annabelle went to Bukit Tinggi for a walk. They visited the Rabbit Farm. Both of the children were happy playing with the white fluffy rabbits which roam around freely in their compound.

Beside that, they went to the Japanese Tea garden and the Colmar Tropicale which is a French-themed resort that harks back four centuries!

IMG_3089The kids managed to have a pony ride too. Annabelle loves pony, horse, unicorn, or anything related to the gentle kind and grace animals. She was so happy riding on the pony with a big smile.

After the visit, they checked in to the Seri Pengantin Resort. I think it is the only hotel that have swimming pool.

The swimming pool is quite deep and fun for the kids. Issac and Annabelle were spending the whole afternoon in the swimming pool together with Uncle Ah Heng and Daddy, as they love to play water so much.

IMG_3129After the mid year review, Daddy fetched me at the training camp there and we went out to the small town of Janda Baik for our dinner.

I don’t know why but the food at the restaurant was so delicious! May be it is due to Janda Baik is close to the river, thus the restaurant cooked or served a very fresh fresh water fish.

After which, we walked at the town for a while, it was so quiet and peaceful, not forgetting serene calmness too one would feel there.

IMG_3225We checked out the hotel second day, the resort was ok only. Just pity that not much maintenance was done there, or not it is a very nice environment and surroundings too.

WIW Mid Year Review Janda Baik 16 Jul 2011

267474This year is the 3rd year I joined Prudential, still a part time agent.

This year, a bit different that our agency have a mid year review organized outside the agency office.

This time, the leaders organized it at Janda Baik, one of the motivational camp. We met at the Taman Sea Prudential office early in the morning, then we headed to Janda Baik.

267879The breakfast, lunch and 2 tea breaks were inclusive in the price. The food served was just nice as all of us were hunger for food after these brain storming and brain drain sessions.

This mid year review mainly is to review our first half results of the year 2011, and planning how are we going to achieve the sales goals we were settled early this year.

268469We select our committee for each department for this second half of the year too, to help in every supporting activities for the group.

There was reports or reviews of each team goals achieved vs goals forecast that each of us set earlier on.

There were some team building games, some brainstorming session, and our speaker of the day is Mr. Alex Lee.

283534_220291338013688_125585860817570_602152_7598679_nMr. Alex Lee is the Senior Agency Manager which was the pioneer in the Prudential since Prudential was here in Malaysia.

He was and still grooming the agents under him to become unit manager, agency manager which grow his monthly income to RM100,000.00! it is so inspiring!

268964He shared with us how to do this business successful and how to build ourselves stronger in order to build our clientele more. It was a good session.

I like the training ground of the campsite, as it is just next beside the river.

Janda Baik is a small town or villages just on the way to the Bukit Tinggi or Genting Highlands. The weather here is so cool and not really hot.

282529_220293111346844_125585860817570_602170_5889246_nThe training camp just located nicely next to a small river which running through the whole camp. It is just like living in a kampong.

Well, I gained a lot in this mid year review, hope I can able to apply it in the Prudential Business and earn more!

IMG_2904This year Tadika Brainchild Sports Day was held on Saturday.

And, it is special as this year too the Sports Day were joined by both brother and sister.

This would marked the second time ever Sports Day for Annabelle too.

The event started with the children marching out from the class rooms to the small little field.

IMG_2911After all the opening speech by the principal, there were some presentations by the children to the parents and audience, they deserved a big claps from the parents too.

The teachers split the children to 2 groups – older children and younger children.

The older children which are 5 and 6 years old played the games first, while the younger children were sitting under the designated tent to wait for their turn.

IMG_2942This time Issac was doing greater than last 2 years! He was enjoying himself and really play hard too!

After the games, all the children deserved a token of price – the gold medal for the great job they have done!

Next was the younger children turn, as Annabelle started her games too.

She enjoyed the games with her team and friends too! She got a gold medal too!

Daddy was assigned to be the referee for the games for the parents and teachers.

IMG_2963The school had given a small token – a picnic set just nice for four of us.

We enjoyed the 3 hours spending in the Tadika Brainchild with the kids today.

Birthday Celebration @ KL Tower 26 Jun 2011

IMG_2757My birthday actually was started yesterday night when Daddy bought a birthday cake for me to blow the candles.

It was really a surprise for me as my birthday present is a laptop computer Lenovo ThinkPad. I am so happy for that, I love it very much as it is just fitted with my Prudential’s red color.

Today we decide to go to KL Tower in the town center.

IMG_2763

Menara KL Tower is easily Malaysia’s most recognizable and popular landmark.

Constructed in 1994, the tower stands at 421 meters and effortlessly trumps the Petronas Twin Towers with the highest and most spectacular view of the city.

This gleaming tower’s spindle-like apex is visible from almost anywhere in Kuala Lumpur.

Menara KL’s viewing deck is, at 276 meters, at least 100 meters higher than the Petronas Twin Towers’ Sky bridge.

The view is marvelous during the day and even better at night when you can see the entire sparkling city center.

IMG_2776The tower is erected atop the Bukit Nanas (Pineapple Hill) Forest Reserve – the oldest gazette forest reserve in the country, which houses age-old trees as well as flora and fauna indigenous to Malaysia’s tropical climate.

Primarily used as a communications infrastructure, it is the fifth-tallest telecommunications tower in the world.

When it was originally built, the natural surroundings of Bukit Nanas were kept intact to ensure balance in development.

IMG_2793In fact a 100-year-old Jelutong tree was preserved, at great cost, by building a retaining wall around it.

After we arrived at the KL Tower, we bought the tickets to go to the observation deck, we were using lift to reach there.

The observation deck allow you to view the Kuala Lumpur skyline at 276m. At Kuala Lumpur Tower, we actually mean that literally!

IMG_2804Experience the lives of metropolitan city, breathtaking sunset and unforgettable night views at the height of 276 meters above ground level.

There are customer service on top of the observation deck, to guide and help the visitors as they would handed out the audio tour gadgets for the introduction and story of the KL Tower.

Both Issac and Annabelle were so concentrate listening to the narrators.

P6260125The 360 degree view of the deck enable you to see every angles of the Kuala Lumpur city center view from here. It is so amazing!

There is a souvenir shop up there too, selling KL Tower key chains, T-shirts, mugs, and other related merchandize.

After a while, we came down to the ground again and visited other attractions there as well.

IMG_2836We just stroll down mesmerizing memories of old traditional dwellings and architectural of Malaysia’s yesteryear, homes from various states dating back to 17th century with individual cultures and heritage identity predominantly reconstructed in KL Tower’s Flavors of Malaysia.

At the same time, Whilst sampling on typically yet enriched, mouthwatering and authentic flavors varying from traditional Malay, Chinese, Indian and Peranakan ethnic of well-known dishes of Nasi Lemak, Laksa, Roti Canai to sweet savories with Ice Kacang, Cendol and never miss the The Tarik and many more with the picturesque of KL Tower.

P6260140There are cultural performance, handicraft and traditional games available as we were lucky to see the Malay traditional music being played on the stage.

At the bottom of the Tower, is a mini petting zoo. Tourists will enable to experience and witness various exotic creatures such as the Iguana, rabbit, geckos, various type of snakes, birds, etc.

It would made the kids so excited about the animals! Just outside the mini zoo, there are a pony ride.

 IMG_2867     IMG_2881     IMG_2883

Both Issac and Annabelle love the pony ride very much. Both were smiling or laughing during their ride. Daddy asked me to have a try on it as well. I was really so afraid that I was going to burden the little pony!

IMG_2886There is a F1 car stimulators there too, but we did not go in and try. Jus went to see how is the F1 race car looks like.

Well, it was a happy birthday celebration with my love ones! Open-mouthed smile

Kuala Lumpur Bird Park 12 Jun 2011

We came here again! This year our Sunday getaway mostly are our 2nd or 3rd visit of the particular places, today as well.

               P6120001          P6120003

We had been visited Kuala Lumpur Bird Park in the year of 2009 as our first time visit. Thus there are not much photos taken this time.

               P6120010          P6120013

We personally enjoyed Kuala Lumpur Bird Park very much as it is well-kept with plenty of opportunities to have personal encounters with the birds.

P6120005

At the Bird Park, one would definitely adorned with nature’s living jewels in a colorful embroidery of peacocks, parrots, birds of prey and affectionate hornbills. It is an enjoyable morning spent!
