Angry Birds Day Out
Today is a Saturday. Early in the morning, Alvin have to help Brother Lynas from the Subang Jaya church to move from Kelana Jaya which currently his family stayed to The Wharf Condominium, which is near to our house.
Alvin helped to move all his belongings with the help from the Elders from Subang Jaya branch while they were at Kelana Jaya, and the help from the Elders from Puchong branch while unloading all his belongings up to his new home.

Mahkota Tuition Centre Holiday Program ~ Domino’s Little Pizza Chefs ^^
During the school holidays, children are encouraged to participate in activities outside of school. With that in mind, Mahkota Tuition Centre organised this meaningful program for the children under their care, and there is just a newly opened Domino’s Pizza outlet just opposite Mahkota.
Issac and Annabelle participated in this as well. The children learnt how to make pizza and twisty bread and they were given a tour of the restaurant’s operations.
The program was designed to help children develop skills related to running a restaurant such as food handling and preparation, quality control, cleanliness, hygiene care, teamwork and discipline.
For example, the children were taught to sing the Happy Birthday song while washing their hands to make sure they washed their hands for at least 20 seconds.
I just have these photos of the group but not the photos of the whole process, but we can see that every child were enjoying for being a little pizza chef of the day!

I Am Thankful for Heavenly Father’s Creation Story Sequence Cards
Our lesson 8 to lesson 15 pass few months were the story of creation, found in Genesis Chapter 1 and Genesis Chapter 2:1-3.
I had a lot of fun preparing for this lesson after searching some teaching aids to teach the younger children about Heavenly Father’s creation.
Thus, decided to do this from April’s Homemaking website, as like what the above pictures.
I started to look for materials, I do not have the pre-cut cardstock circle shaped paper, thus I found some hardcover paper and made myself the cardstocks cycles.
I went to Mr. D.I.Y shop got some glitters and some stickers and got to work making a set of creation story sequence cards like the above.
I used two cardstock circles for each day's card, and using craft glue, glued a craft stick in between the two pieces.
I decorated each day's card with a picture representing what Heavenly Father created on each day.
And on the back of each card I pasted the corresponding scriptures.
I used various stickers, lots of fine glitter, and extra cardstock to craft each picture. Here are close ups of each day.
The children were enjoying doing the stickers and did their own cards. We did it together after the lessons for the few months back. This encourage the children to learn each day and the order of the creation story.
After they completed the whole set of the cards, I let them to bring home so that they can learn it in the home together with their parents.

Flowers Picture Frame Craft ^^ 8 May 2016
It was Mother's Day celebration in the church yesterday, so after the lesson as usual, I let the children did some art and craft – a small flower picture frame to gift to give to their own mother.
I modify the craft to suit the younger children, as my class is actually combine with Nursery and Sunbeam, so I have children from 18 months old up to 4 years old.
You'll Need:
- Paper plate
- Cardboard or a second paper plate
- Scissors
- White glue
- Pencil
- Small bowl, cup, or any round-mouthed object
- Small pompoms, buttons, sequins, foam shapes, etc.
- Draw or print out the flowers or leaves petals ( I printed out from this website: http://www.firstpalette.com, there are so many types of flowers and leaves to choose from)
To Make:
Position a paper plate bottom side up. Use a bowl or any round-mouthed object to make a large circle at the center.
Draw a slightly smaller circle inside the first one.
Cut out the smaller circle at the center.
Start to decorate the frame of the paper plate with the flowers and leaves which just cut out from the template. Glue the flowers and leaves to your design.
Decorate the inner frame by gluing on materials like small pompoms, buttons, beads, sequins, or foam shapes. I just use some scraped colour papers and glitters for that.
Create the flower frame's backing by cutting out a circle from cardboard or another paper plate. The circle should be slightly larger than the hole at the center of the flower frame.
Cut a photo to fit inside the round backing. Glue or tape the photo in place.
Glue the backing at the back of the flower frame.
I asked the children to give to their mum and glue their picture with mum for the frame. Hope the mothers would like it!
