Today I received Annabelle’s Violin Teacher Yaalinny WhatsApp message, informed me that Annabelle has passed her ABRSM Violin Grade 1 Exam. I am so happy. Finally after so long of learning violin, Annabelle passed her Grade 1 exam!
I know that she must be feeling happy too, at last can move on to Grade 2. I shared the message to our family group chat, everyone is happy about that, especially her dearest daddy!
Hohoho… Both Alvin and I are saying finally, it comes!
Last week I found out that my left breast would feel pain if I incidentally press on it, and I can feel a lump that is movable. I feel scared because I heard too much about women that diagnose with breast cancer and how it is the common cancer which happened in 1 out of 4 women in our country.
For that instance, I was so worried because I know that I have too many things that I not yet done, such as my family history work, my blogs that not yet fully update for my children to see my stories and their early childhood stories, lots of family photos which I not yet digitalized, and places which I not yet go, I want to see my both children get into BYU Hawaii if it is God’s will, I want to see both of them getting marry and have their own families, I want to be a temple worker or serve as senior couple missionary with Alvin if it is God’s will, and so many more. How can I just go away right now?
Thus, I told Alvin about this and I called SJMC to fix an appointment to see Dr. Yip after I getting advice from Jessie and Yee Suang to seek for a consultation and opinion, just to make sure. Alvin agreed and accompanied me to SJMC today.
I feel so relief when I heard the doctor told me that everything is normal and alright. After her initial check-up, the doctor asked me to go the imaging department to perform the mammogram and ultra sound scan.
It was quite a while as the imaging waiting room was crowded of people and patients. After the scanning, we went back to the Breast and Endocrine Surgery department and wait for Dr. Yip’s consultation.
This time around Alvin did not accompany me into the Dr Consultation room, but he was outside. He looked ok and he knows that it would be OK for me. It is true as Dr. Yip said there is nothing to worry about, and it might be the cists which I felt in my breast.
She is a very experienced doctor. She just took a needle and poked it to my left breast and taken out liquids in my breast and showed to me, and told me that I am OK.
I feel ease and my burden was lifted up. For the past week, I was quite uneasy and emotional not really feel good. One thing I know is that I have to keep and think on the positive side, because I need to have faith in the Lord and just surrender myself to Him.
Deep down in my heart, I just feel that Alvin is not so nervous or worry for me at all. I do not know why I have this feeling but I know that this kind of feeling doesn’t help in our relationship at all. Is this the instinct that I have which he still hides something from me still, or there is still another woman still which he is still lie to me?
I do not know… but I can just feel the love and care that he has for me is no longer that sort of intimate that what husband and wife should have… This may be is my trial that I need to work out for my own or the Lord wants me to go through it, it is on my way or my path…
I should put my trust in the Lord and I am grateful that all is well…
Our Puchong Branch Presidency together with the others auxiliaries such as EQ, YSA, YM and YW have organised a special dinner just for the mothers.
All the mothers or the RS sisters were welcomed to be seated at the designated tables and chairs, and we had been served with the delicious western food dinner.
All the dishes and meals were prepared by the Elders Quorum and Young Single Adults. We are very grateful to that – our one single night to enjoy ourselves for the hearty and satisfying dinner.
There were quite entertaining program especially Elders Quorum did a song and dance performance and all the mothers were enjoying by their performance. We were laughing from start of the song till end of the song.
And the most important is Alvin was the one leading the performance! He is here now and last year he was still at Johor Bahru.
The celebration ended with a cake cutting ceremony which the cake prepared by the Elders Quorum. All the sisters were gathered together around the cake, and we cut it together.
It was such a wonder night! We thanked for other auxiliaries for organising such a wonderful event for all the mothers in the branch.
Due to Bro Kok Cin not available today to teach the keyboard lesson, sister Amy and Issac both substitute for the keyboard lesson today at church this morning.
I seldom see how Issac teach the students as I am always stay at the Primary room either writing blog or preparing for the talk or lesson. I just took a few photos during the lesson and I posted it on the Keyboard leaders chat group.
Surprisingly Sister Colman in the group chat and she thanked us for the pictures of the keyboard classes. She could not believe how much Issac has grown! She will always be amazed at the selfless service that all her keyboard students have each given to continue teaching everyone.
Sister Colman wants the Harmon’s to know about our classes, because this is how the Harmon’s meant for the program to be implemented. She congratulate to everyone of the students and bravo for their job. She said she miss us all and love us!
I am grateful that Issac able has the opportunity to participate in this Harmon’s program and able to learn the keyboard from Sister Colman that has the patience and love to teach the students in the branch.
Today KL District Youth is having their activity at Xtion Paintball Park which is located at Bukit Jalil. It seems like the park itself established back in 2003, and it was the leading paintball centre in Asia back then.
Due to the infrastructure development which involved an expressway in construction, the park had been run down and big part portion of the land has been used for construction site and storage area. It took us some time to find this place.
The activity starts at 11am, there were already others youth there when we arrived there. The session started with an opening prayer and a short devotional by President Van Cott from KL District Young Men and Sister Claire from KL District Young Women.
There was a safety and game briefing for all the youth and parents whom want to participate in the game by the Marshall.
All the youth were brief and introduced to the safety gears which are compulsory to wear at all time: googles to protect the eyes, body vest to protect the body, the proper way to use the paint gun or marker, and some regulations or hand signs during in the fields.
There are 2 hour time slot. The group of youth split into 4 teams, 2 teams per session and the winners for each game will qualify themselves to play in the 3rd game. It was fun looking at the youth hiding and running around just to shoot and get their team flag.
Issac was so excited to join but Annabelle was not interested at all for this type of outdoor game. Actually is not Issac alone but all the youth. It is so fun and excited seeing all the youth in the church and I can feel the vibrant of the youth and the spirit they have!
Light lunch was prepared for all the youth and parents as well. There were Domino’s Pizzas, garlic bread, and cold drinks as well. The activity ends around 1.30pm.
It give me a sense of urgency and how important it is to rear our children in the church and bring them up strong in their faith to face the world which will definitely becoming more tempting and evil for them in the future.
I feel blessed that I and my family got to know this Church and the church program help us as parents to teach and nurture our children and prepare them spiritually and physically!
All the youth just look like the Army of Helaman – The Stripping Warriors in the Book of Mormon! They are our future leaders and army of the Church indeed!
Today Sister Jennifer gave a nicely wrap paper bag to me and asked me to pass to Annabelle.
She told me that she took sometime to make this small beautiful box full of surprises for Annabelle, as a farewell gift for her as Primary advancement gift.
I am so touched with her love towards every Primary child that under her care.
It is very thoughtful of her to do such a memorable book for Annabelle.
Annabelle opened it and she love it so much!
