Good Morning Dear Brothers & Sisters;
Our family really thankful of this calling for us to manifest our lord and saviour Jesus Christ words & scriptures. My topic for sharing today will take more than 45 mins… hoho.. Don’t panic, cause the topic I would like to share today is “The Sacrament”. See I told you all since 9am right?? Well the rest I would going to elaborate in theoretically rather than physically.
Sacrament;
Now, let us define, why we need to participate in this sacrament hall and partake the sacrament?
Firstly, The Sacrament provides an opportunity for us to remember with gratitude the life, ministry, & Atonement of our Saviour.
With broken bread, we remember His body. We can be mindful of His physical suffering – especially His suffering on the cross. Through His mercy & grace, all people will be resurrected & given the opportunity for eternal life with God.
With a small cup of water, we can remember that the Saviour shed His blood in intense spiritual suffering & anguish, beginning in the Garden of Gethsemane. There He said, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry me here, & watch with me. Submitting to the will of the Father, He suffered more than we can comprehend: Blood came from every pore, so great was his anguish for the wickedness and the abominations of his people. We can remember that through the shedding of His blood, Jesus Christ saved us from what the scriptures call the “original guilt” of Adam’s transgression. We can remember that He also suffered for the sins, sorrows, & pains of all Heavenly Father’s children, providing remission of sins for those who repent & live the gospel. In 2 Nephi C. 9 v. 21 to 23 testified that,
21. And he cometh into the world that he may save all men if they will hearken unto his voice; for behold, he suffereth the pains of all men, yea, the pains of every living creature, both men, women, & children, who belong to the family of Adam.
22. And he suffereth this that the resurrection might pass upon all men, that all might stand before him at the great and judgement day.
23. And he commandeth all men that they must repent, and be baptized in his name, having perfect faith in the Holy One of Israel, or they cannot be saved in the Kingdom of God.
Second, when we partake of the Sacrament, we witness to God that we remembrance of His Son will extend beyond the short time of that sacred ordinance. We promise to remember Him always. We witness that we are willing to take upon our self the name of Jesus Christ & that we will keep His commandments. In partaking of the Sacrament and making these commitments, we renew our baptismal covenant. We receive great blessings when we keep the baptismal covenant. As we renew it, the Lord renews the promised remission of your sins. Cleansed from sin, we are able to always have his Spirit to be with us. And this Spirit which addressed to the holy ghost, the spirit will guide us in the paths of righteousness and peace and is the greatest gifts from our Heavenly Father and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Third, we would have to partake the Sacrament Worthily;
In preparation for the sacrament each week, take time to examine our life and repent of our sins. Please don’t misunderstand, this do not mean that you need to be perfect in order to partake this sacred ordinance, but we should have a spirit of humility, reverence, solemnity & repentance in our heart. It becomes a weekly opportunity for introspection, repentance & rededication – a source of strength & a constant reminder of the Saviour’s Atonement. In 3 Nephi C. 9:20 & 21’
20. And ye shall offer for a sacrifice unto me a broken heart & a contrite spirit. And whoso cometh unto me with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, him will I baptize with fire & with the Holy Ghost, even as the Lamanites, because of their faith in me at the time of their conversion, were baptized with fire & with the Holy Ghost, and they knew it not.
21. Behold, I have come unto the world to bring redemption unto the world, to save the world from sin.
Therefore, beloved brothers & sisters, with the above elaborate, of the Atonement, Redemption & the Plan of Salvation of our Saviour Jesus Christ, we must also remember a saying.. “When one drinks water, one must not forget where it comes from”.
Dear brothers & sisters, I wouldn’t take a long sharing theoretically, I am more on physical. Maybe words of wisdom, words in gospel, terminology of God’s words, dear brothers & sisters even more familiarize then me. Therefore, today I would like to have this calling to physically show an example to elaborate my speech;
From this dear all, our mind is just like the glass, if we always filled full with water we shall no longer able to accept another drip of water as knowledge, therefore only thing we need to do is pour away and empty the glass as our brain and only can receive all necessary and just like Saviour said remission of our sins.
Brothers & Sisters, I humbly pray guidance, protection & blessing to all of us and share these in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
