Puchong Branch Christmas Party 21 Dec 2019

 

This year our family managed to join the Puchong Branch Christmas Party, as last year we were at Johor Bahru celebrating Christmas with Alvin while he was working there.

 

 

Well, this year Sister Glenda was assigned to cook for the big feast. She is so creative in decorating the chapel into a Christmas mood. Together with Brother Adrian, they changed the entire environment filled with the festive mood.

 

 

It is so special that our Christmas tree ornaments are dehydrated fruits which can be eaten. Not forgetting the ginger bread man too! And it is so pretty as well! The fire place which they made. It feels such a warm place to be.

 

 

Our big feast is western style with pies, cakes, brownies, spaghetti with carbora white sauce and Bolognese sauce, marsh potatoes, and turkey as well! It lightened up with colourful fruit punch! Some of the sisters contribute with their favourite dish such as orange chicken, Chinese fried rice, African fried rice, and many more.

It is a good coarse that we were asked to invite our family and friends to join our branch Christmas Party as part of our missionary works. Many of the friends and investigators turned up for this occasion. Our branch presidency never forget about the missionary works for members.

 

All the programmes are organised by the various organizations and individual performances. There was an opening hymn follow by the opening prayer. We had our dinner first, then followed by the presentations.

There was a children dance presented by the Sister Sylvia’s son Melvis and his friends, followed by a Brother Roger’s songs, after that musical number by Sister Ritcher, and dance performance by Brother Aka and his University friend. Sister missionaries and YSA group too participate in the programme and lastly is EQ and RS songs.

Finally, the most important part – Santa Clause is coming to town! Our branch Brother Vincent became our Santa Clause for the gift exchanging and sharing moments ^^. Every each of the friends and investigators did have a small gift which were prepared by the Branch. Not forgetting children as well.

 

 

 

 

Our family have a warmth and home coming Christmas Party evening. Even it is just a small party, but we were surrounded by kind, humble and hard working ever Saints in following Christ!

Even though we were tired because we were at Puchong IOI Mall for the Christmas Carolling. We feel quite a full and satisfied December than any other past Decembers that we had.

Zentangle Seed 11th & 12th Class

Today is the last class of our Zentangle Seed classes for the almost past 3 months. Due to next week is the holiday season and most of our classmates would not be here, thus Teacher Mici decided to compact today class into 2 sessions.

We would continue to learn about Zendala, and the final session is draw the zentangle patterns onto our hands. Everyone was so excited about it.

Teacher Gek Lan taught us another style of Zendala, also using compass and draw on the coloured Zendala white tile. And new tangle patterns as well. We practice in the class for one part and we were told to continue finish the rest in the home.

In second session Teacher Mici came in to teach about drawing on our arms or hand, just like how to draw inai. The differences is the pen we use. She encourages us to use eyeliner if we have, as it it more suitable to draw on our skin.

Everyone was so enjoying drawing on their own hand. And got excited and very high! it was like we were partying at the end of the class. Everyone felt a little bit sad that it was so soon that 3 months class have to come to an end. We learned so much from each other as well.

Cling to Your Faith

I saw this post of Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf from the Facebook this morning. It was posted on 14th but I just saw it today. When I first read the part about his love towards his wife Harriet, I was so touched and felt so pain inside at the same time.

He is right - many yearn for this kind of relationship with their the other half or their spouse. Sometimes I would wonder where do the patience, long suffering that I have been holding on will take me to? Is it worth it? I do not know why I always have this kind of doubts towards the end of the year. I encountered the same thing last year. Trials of faith?

As Elder Uchtdorf said, “God is our loving Father in Heaven. He is a just and compassionate God, and no one will be deprived of the fullness of experiences and happiness as we continue living our lives as best as we can, trusting in His goodness and love. We can trust Him. He trusts us.”

I guess I need to cling to the faith I have, and pray always to Him, and be believing, believe in hope, and know that He is Able!

FSY Malaysia & Singapore Day 5 13 Dec 2019

As Day 5 approaches and the day is about to end.

The wonderful youth continues to learn more and with the help of the counsellors.

They get to pack medical supplies as part of their community service project and get to learn some basic first aid precautions when encountering an accident.

As the day goes by, everyone created a strong bond not only with their own company but with everyone as well. Everyone has strengthen their physical and spiritually needs.

FSY Malaysia & Singapore Day 4 12 Dec 2019

Going Strong and Fun on Day 4! As the youth get to see a preview on a slideshow for previous days. Day 4 gets really spiritual, everyone gets learn more about our Heavenly Father and Jesus on Living Christ Session.

The youth had a wonderful Musical Programme and Devotional night that they have been rehearsing for days!

Issac told me that he did dance with 10 young women at the musical program because all the counsellors gave a target to all of the youth to dance with 10 young men or young women!

Issac said most of the young women came up to him and asked him for dance, may be because he looks like Primary boy and cute ^^. Haha.. this is my boy!

Zentangle Seed 10th Class

Today we learned Zendala. This time using the coloured Zendala white tile which we did last 2 lessons. Teacher Gek Lan taught us some new tangle pattern.

And, she taught us how we can create Zendalas by carefully measuring to find the centre of the circle and working outwards. She taught how to do it by using a compass to divide the sections.

Well, this is my Zendala using the compass. And, I quite like it. May be it is because of the bright colour in the centre of the Zendala that gives me the felling of ‘Hope’ and ‘Light’.

FSY Malaysia & Singapore Day 3 11 Dec 2019

Day 3 and the Youth are really having a wonderful time. Activities for Day 3 are:

• Session Directing Couple Morningside
• Preach My Gospel
• Variety Show Tryouts
• Game Night & Cheer-Off
• Favorite Food Night

Here are some of the photos our youths and counsellors that served in the FSY. Sister Robinia and Brother Kennedy are the counsellors for Issac’s group.

Sister Anesha too is one of the counsellor among them to lead the youth groups.

And Sister Anita as well. Both Anesha and Anita do a great job too! President Teh and Sister Annie are the couple that lead out this huge program.
